CACNC Finance Manager

Position Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, reporting, grant and contract compliance, and day-to-day accounting. This position plays a key role in ensuring financial transparency, accuracy, and sustainability across all organizational activities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of nonprofit finance, grant management, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight & Accounting

  • Manage the organization’s day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with federal Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200), particularly regarding the organization’s federal grants and audit.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the development of the organization’s annual budget in collaboration with the COO and team leads.
  • Monitor and analyze actuals against the budget; prepare regular variance reports and forecasts.
  • Provide budget support and training to program managers as needed.

Grant & Contract Management

  • Ensure financial compliance with all federal, state, and private grants and contracts.
  • Track grant expenditures, prepare financial reports, and support program staff with allowable cost tracking and documentation.
  • Coordinate with funders and auditors on financial reporting and documentation requirements.

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Develop and implement effective financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Lead coordination of the annual independent financial audit, including the federal single audit, in partnership with external auditors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all grant and agency audit-related documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with nonprofit financial and tax reporting requirements, including IRS Form 990 and state charitable registration filings.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant nonprofit laws, regulations, and best practices.

Strategic & Administrative Support

  • Provide financial analysis to inform decision-making, strategic planning, and resource allocation.
  • Support the CEO, COO and Compliance Team Lead with financial presentations and planning for the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit financial management, including grant and contract compliance.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and nonprofit reporting requirements.
  • Experience with federal and state grant funding is highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000

One Place Mental Health Therapist

One Place Child Advocacy Center is seeking a full-time Mental Health Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team serving child victims of abuse and their non-offending caregivers.

Under the direction of the CAC Clinical Services Director, this position provides evidence-supported, trauma-focused mental health services to children ages 3–17 and their families in accordance with NCA, CACNC, and MDT protocols. Services include individual, group, and family therapy with a primary focus on Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), including Advanced TF-CBT for Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB).

Ideal candidates will:

  • Be licensed in North Carolina as an LCSW, LCMHC, or LMFT
  • Be a TF-CBT rostered clinician (national or NC Child Treatment Program)
  • Have experience providing trauma-focused services to children and families
  • Have experience in a CAC, child welfare, or MDT setting (preferred)
  • Be trained in Advanced TF-CBT for PSB or willing to obtain training

This role includes participation in clinical supervision, collaboration with MDT partners, ongoing professional development, and opportunities to contribute to a mission-driven organization dedicated to ending child abuse and promoting healing for children and families.

CAPC: Medical Director

Position Description

The Children’s Advocacy and Protection Center (CAPC) Medical Director is a professional position that involves conducting comprehensive medical examinations of children, providing clinical evaluations, and offering consultation services. This position is responsible for providing direct service to clients referred for child medical examinations. In addition, the duties of a CAPC Medical Director include community outreach, participation in Peer Review sessions, and attending Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings.

Compensation &Amp; Schedule Information:

  • Salary is negotiable, dependent on education and experience.
  • Schedule is negotiable. Typical schedule works 20 hours per week, with on-call availability as needed.
  • There are no benefits associated with this position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct child medical examinations and provide completed reports, including documentation for client files.
  • Provide referring agencies with appropriate medical documentation of the examination
  • Provide medical consultations on referrals from Law Enforcement, Department of Social Services, or other medical providers.
  • Participate in all team case reviews, offering medical findings and opinions on the results of each child’s medical exam.
  • Assist in establishing medical policy and protocols in accordance with CAPC goals and objectives
  • Provide training in the topic of child abuse to MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Team) members, local medical providers, and other child abuse professionals.
  • Attend Court Proceedings when needed for the purpose of providing expert witness testimony regarding the performed child medical exams.
  • Attend ongoing education in child abuse and neglect, to include conferences, seminars, consultation with other child abuse experts, literature review, and case/peer review.
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Child and Family Advocate to input accurate client data into the agency’s database.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or M.D./D.O. (specialized in Pediatrics, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine)
  • Licensed in North Carolina

Additional Requirements

  • Rostered with the North Carolina CME Program, or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
  • Certified to obtain pediatric S.A.N.E., or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
  • Medical knowledge of child abuse issues
  • Ability to work with multi-agency partners
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system to testify in court
  • Ability to provide medical consultation to non-medical personnel who work in child abuse investigations
  • Work well with children and family members
  • Knowledge and skill in operating colposcope and taking photographs of injuries
  • Maintain medical license
  • Must be an independent worker
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

TEDIBear Social Work Practitioner

The Department of Pediatrics of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is the organizational unit. The primary purpose of the department is teaching, research and patient care in those issues involving the needs of children, with particular emphasis on the children of eastern North Carolina.

TEDI BEAR Children’s Advocacy Center of the Department of Pediatrics is in accord with this primary purpose. This purpose will be achieved by providing

  1. comprehensive evaluation and specialized treatment of children who have experienced abuse and trauma
  2. an educational resource for students and professionals and the community in eastern North Carolina regarding child abuse, neglect, and trauma.

TEDI BEAR CAC serves abused and neglected children, ages birth to 18, and their non-offending family members by providing child medical evaluations; forensic interviews; individual, group, and family therapy; community development, outreach education for individuals and groups, and child abuse prevention programming. The agency also collaborates with ECU Health by providing in-house child abuse consults.

Job Duties

The Clinical Therapist will provide comprehensive treatment services to adults and children who have experienced abuse and trauma. These services will include extensive psycho-social assessments, testing, development of comprehensive treatment plans, coordination with involved agencies, and provision of intensive trauma treatment. Treatment provided will include long and short-term individual, family and play therapy, and psycho­-educational sessions. The Clinical Therapist will serve as a member of the center’s multidisciplinary team and participate in weekly staffing meetings to provide feedback and treatment recommendations for children seen for medical evaluation. The Clinical Therapist will provide consultation as needed to the other staff members on complex cases in regard to mental health assessment and treatment. The Clinical Therapist will provide training to students and community mental health providers on an as needed basis. The Clinical Therapist will engage in family advocacy through court testimony and attendance to outside agency reviews is provided on an as needed basis.
