The CAC Director leads the CAC in providing comprehensive services to child victims of abuse and their non-offending caregivers in conjunction with multi-disciplinary teams made up of law enforcement, Forensic Interviewers, administration and agency partners. In addition to forensic evaluations, the Director oversees mental health services provided to victims and their families. The Director will also act as a Forensic Interviewer responsible for conducting forensic interviews of children with concerns of sexual abuse, severe physical abuse and witness to violence. This candidate should have excellent community leadership and collaboration skills, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, in person and on the phone, particularly when working with and building rapport with distraught family members and multidisciplinary partners. The Director is responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of the center staff, policy implementation, program development, agency partnership and promotion, interagency collaboration, and financial planning and oversight of the operating budget. This position routinely interfaces with the Department of Social Services, law enforcement personnel and community stakeholders. The Director/Forensic Interviewer must have completed a nationally accredited child forensic interview training or willingness to be trained and successfully complete training.
